Hey all — just came over here from PZ Myers’ place and I thought I’d warn you that I still have no idea what the heck this here blog is like. And I’m versed in mol bio!

Seriously, when you’re getting traffic from outside, it’s a good idea to blog about something other than the damned contest! You’ve got like eight posts about it in a row, on the front two pages, broken up by only two other posts here and there.

Pareidolius, yes it is one of the things that makes discussing genetic engineering from a scientific perspective difficult. The conversation often becomes – hey does Monsanto pay you money? As many people are pointing out, the fact that it so readily turns to that means that people are at a loss for arguments, so I think Godwin’s Law does apply.

Perhaps it could be called something like:
Monsanto’s Law
Monstersanto’s Law
MonSauron’s Law

As a discussion on GMOs grows longer, the probability of an accusation of being paid by Monsanto approaches 1.
Something like that?

Saaaaaaaay . . . I hear everyone is getting checks from our Monsanto Overlords for voting. Where’s my check dammit?

It must be awful to live in such paranoia that any pro-science voter is viewed as a tool of Monsanto (Big Farmer?). I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Monsanto must be added to Godwin’s law.
