Extended Profile
I have been involved with agricultural research for over 30 years, starting as grunt labor in sugarbeets, onions, carrots, corn, etc, etc. Due to the nature of the work at the experiment stations I was working at, I have had hands on time with a wide array of agronomic, horticultural, breeding, and pest control topics. My career later turned a bit and I have now spent the last 20 years on the other side of the desk as a statistician consulting with agricultural researchers. My background is in entomology, soil science, plant science, weed science and of course statistics!
When left to my own devices, I am an obsessive cook and baker. To support this habit, I have even built a wood burning oven in my yard and have a garden to fill the rest of my time. To top it off, I have a small top bar hive that keeps me on my toes.
