Can anyone here recommend any general or layman level books on risk analysis or risk assessment?

Thanks in advance for any input.

    Pdiff,

Risk assessment and management is a wide-ranging field, covering everything from nanotech to climate change. Something you will likely topical and accessible for a lay person is an upcoming event in Europe: "European Commission Organises Debate on GMO Risk Assessment and Management", http://www.soyatech.com/news_story.php?id=22644

As it will be web-streamed, the debate can also be followed by anyone interested in this subject. The debate of March 17 will be broken down in four sessions. Hope this helps!
